A Look Back at Assisi House Visitors

I know Christmas is over--but I thought you'd enjoy these photos of our sisters at Assisi House with some of the students from Neumann University. Actually Christmas came to Assisi House a little early when the Neumann University Praise Dancers arrived for both a performance and a visit. The young women use their gift of dance not only as an art form, but also to praise God. They often dance at prayer services at Neumann as well as at various other events. Their special Christmas prayer performance added a unique aspect to the sisters’ Advent prayers. The opportunity to spend some time socializing with this delightful group of young women also provided the sisters with an early Christmas gift.

The Neumann Praise Dancers used their art to provide a special prayer experience for the sisters.

Sr. Kathy Donovan enjoyed a chat with one of the dancers.

Sr. Apollonia got into the act with all the right moves!

That would be a great way to minister to others. Aren't we all doing a dance in one way or the other...Dancing in prayer is a wonderful idea.

I surely wish I had seen the Praise Dancers at Assisi House. I must not have been working there that day. Both Sisters Kathy Donovan and Apollonia Moretti are wonderful people! Sister Apollonia calls herself "Happy Appy," and I must say I've never seen anyone squeeze so much enjoyment out of life.
